The Muciara Short Film Festival towards the final awards ceremony in Valderice, on 1 August 2021

The 10 finalists of the Muciara Short Film Festival will participate in the final award ceremony, live, in Valderice (TP) on 1 August 2021

The 10 finalists of the Muciara Short Film Festival
will participate in the final live awards ceremony in Valderice on 1 August 2021: the godmother of the event is the actress Anna Falchi

The Muciara Short Film Festival is heading towards its highlight: the awards ceremony, which will take place in Valderice at Piazza Tonnara di Bonagia, on 1 August 2021. On this occasion, the winners of the first edition of the international contest for short films will be awarded.

The short films finalists of the Muciara Short Film Festival

In all, there are ten finalists of the Muciara Short Film Festival. Here they are below:

  • Quelli che eravamo, directed by Samuel Di Marzo (Italia, 2021)
  • Cuore di strega, directed by Marco Baroni (Italia, 2021)
  • #picoftheday, directed by Andrea Beluto (Italia, 2020)
  • Cursed Granny, directed by Suso Imbernón, Juanjo Moscardó Rius (Spagna, 2019)
  • Gronde Marmaille, directed by Clémentine Carrié (Francia, 2018)
  • A world free of crisis, directed by Ted Hardy-Carnac (Francia, 2021)
  • La Grande Onda, directed by Francesco Tortorella (Italia, 2020)
  • Con i Pedoni tra le nuvole, directed by Maurizio Rigatti (Italia, 2021)
  • Just like water, directed by Manos Triantafillakis (Grecia, 2021)

Three of them will win, during the evening of 1 August 2021, the prizes awarded by the Technical Jury, by Silenzioinsala.com and by the Bonagia Eventi Association. The prizes will be awarded:


Prize Muciara Film Festival 

First place: 500.00 Euros in Amazon voucher
Second place: Weekend for two in a tourist village
Third place: Basket of typical local products


“Non Reale” Award assigned by SilenzioinSala.com

The editorial staff of Silenzioinsala.com assigns a special prize to one or more short films of the horror, weird, fantasy, gothic, dystopian, science fiction, dreamlike, uncanny, fable genres that will stand out for their originality and staging. The award consists of complete media coverage on the pages of the site and on social networks, with an interview with the director, a review of the short film and in-depth analysis.

Appointment on 1 August 2021 in Bonagia, Valderice

The winners will be awarded on 1 August 2021 at the Tonnara di Bonagia, Valderice, Trapani, in the presence of the mayor of Valderice Francesco Stabile, the councilor for Cultural and Sports Tourism Promotion Cristina Ferro. Also present were some representatives of the technical jury (composed of Vittorio Magazzù, actor; Dario Indelicato - documentary maker, editor and Digital Imaging Technician; Simone Scafidi - director and cinema teacher; Emanuele Pasquet - director of photography) and the godmother of the event, the 'actress Anna Falchi.

During the evening will also be screened the works out of competition by authors born or resident in Sicily, selected by the organization in collaboration with the artistic direction.

 

The Festival is hosted in the evocative location of, part of the heritage enhancement projects that led, in 2019, to the opening of the museum located inside the Torre della Tonnara. One of the most evocative places in ancient Sicily becomes the stage of the first edition of the Muciara Film Festival.
